Happy Birthday tree in blossom white on white A6 card

Image
Happy Birthday tree in blossom white on white A6 card Hi Craft addicts! Well it is another week, and another card for the 100 Day project that I have been taking part in. How I made this card:- This is a very quick and simple card to make but one that I think is very striking... I first of all cut out the tree die (from Tattered Lace) out in white card (There is no outer cutting edge so it cuts within the card) and so I cut it to fit an A6 card. I edged it with a blue alcohol marker to make it stand out and stuck it to the front of a white card. I then stamped out the Happy Birthday sentiment on to the card using some Cornflower Rare Earth ink cube - as it is water reactive, I used a paint brush to drag down some of the ink to give it a shadow effect. Finally, I used Rose Water Nuvo Jewel Drops from Tonic Studios to add some "blossom" to the tree. Products used for this card:- A6 White card with envelope (top fold style) Tree in silhouette die from Ta...

Happy Birthday - Flowers on extended topper DL landscape card

Happy Birthday - Flowers on extended topper  DL landscape card Hi Craft addicts! I really like this new Synergy die from Toni Darroch's Stamps by Me range along with a stamp from Woodware.... How I made this card:- I first of all cut out the Synergy Die in black card (Lynda Chapman's Paper Boutique). There is only one half with the decorative panel so I used my Scoreboard to score down the middle of it and folded it in half. I then added glue to the panel (and half of the square) and attached it to the front of a white DL card (landscape). I coloured some of the spaces in using an orange alcohol marker (making sure that it didn't bleed through to the back of the card). I stamped the flowers panel (from Woodware Petals & Swirls) on to some white stamping card (using Black Amalgam ink from Gina K) and coloured it in using Oranges, Purples, Blues and Greens Spectrum Noir Tri-blend markers). I trimmed around it and stuck it to the middle of the square ...

To the Best Friend - lady in pink dress hand coloured 5" x 7" card

To the Best Friend - lady in pink dress hand coloured  5" x 7" card Hi Craft addicts! Well I enjoyed making this card a lot - using a mix of dies, Distress Crayons and stamps... How I made this card:- I cut out the lady in white card from the Free Spirit Die by Tattered Lace. I then coloured it in using watercolour paints (you can of course use any colours you like) and stuck it on to some black card, trimming it to leave a narrow border. I used Rainbow coloured Tim Holtz Distress Crayons to colour a background on to some white linen effect card, and once happy with it, blended the colours in using a paintbrush and left it to dry. I then cut out a lattice background (from a Spellbinders die) in black card and stuck it over the rainbow one and trimmed it again. Using Collall All Purpose glue, I attached the main panel on to the front of a 5" x 7" white card. I then placed the lady die-cut on to the card with a mix of foam pads and glue. I also st...

Just Because black A5 top fold card with Glittery Unicorn ....

Just Because Black A5 top fold card  with Glittery Unicorn .... Hi Craft addicts! I was so pleased with how this card turned out - I love the Glitter/Satin pastes and stencils from Glitz Crafts. So find out how I made it here.... How I made this card:- I used some low tack stencil tape to attach the Unicorn mask (see below to see where the products come from) to the front of an A5 Black top fold card. I then used one of the spatulas that come in the pack to spread the paste over the Unicorn. As you can see,I used three different colours to give a more interesting effect - two are Glitter Frosted and one has a Satin effect. I removed three sides of the masking tape to check that the Unicorn was ok and as it was, I took the last piece of tape off and put the card aside to dry (it takes about 10-15 minutes). Whilst it was drying, I then took the Just Because sentiment (from a Birch Press Designs set) and stamped it on to a piece of card that I had previously p...

Thank You... Birds and flowers  6" black pearlescent card.. Hi Craft addicts! This card was fun to make and easy to - just a couple of stamps, some alcohol markers and some card! How I made this card (for the products used see below):- I first of all stamped out the Birds and flowers stamp (it is a large one so I used a stamping platform) on to some white stamping card using Gina K's Black Amalgam ink I then coloured it in using a variety of alcohol markers (Pinks,Yellows, Browns and Greens), blending them in to try and make them as realistic as possible. I used a dauber to colour in the background trying to create a sky effect. I then edged it with a blue alcohol marker and stuck it on to some Silver Mirri card using Collall glue. Using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue, I then attached the whole panel on to the left hand side of a 6" Black pearlescent card. I stamped the Thank You sentiment on to a scrap of white card again using Gina K's Black ink, cut ar...

You Bring Sunshine... Bamboo and moon glitter 7x5in Kraft Card Hi Craft addicts! I hope you had a brilliant Easter and enjoying the sunshine! Today's card for the 100 day project is one I really liked making using Glitz Craft paste, an embossing folder and a sentiment stamp. How I made this card:- I wanted to used one of the latest embossing folders from Creative Expressions (Narrow Woodgrain) and found I had a piece of cream Adorable Scorable card and used that to emboss it. I then used a brown Tim Holtz Distress Oxide ink and spread it on to the card to highlight the grain and left it to dry. Whilst that was happening I used low tack stencil tape to attach the Bamboo stencil to some white stamping card and used Green and Sand Glitz Craft paste through it. Once I was happy with it, I also left that to dry. I trimmed it so that it measured 9x15cm and edged it with a brown alcohol marker. I then stuck the panel on to some Gold Mirri Card using Collall All Purpose Gl...

Wish... Bird on branch silhouette on rainbow background 7x5in card

Wish... Bird on branch silhouette on rainbow background 7x5in card Hi Craft addicts This was really great fun to make using dies and a rainbow background I created using Tim Holtz Distress Crayons. How I made this card:- I had created two backgrounds on some white card using the Rainbow coloured Distress Crayons - I added one colour at a time (in stages) and blended them in again one at a time. I then used a paintbrush and water to smooth the colours out. Whilst they were drying, I used the middle 2 dies from the Oceana Layering Die set from Tonic Studios and cut the background frame out. I really like this die as it is quite unusual. I also cut out the Birds on branches die (from Tattered Lace) in Black cardstock as I thought it would look great as a silhouette on the rainbow background. I then cut out the Wish sentiment die (from the Birthday Bonanza Moonstone set by Hunkydory) in the 2nd piece of Rainbow coloured card. I also found out that I can use the waste on ano...

Wishing you a bright and happy day Birthday card with butterflies and rainbow background

Wishing you a bright and happy day Birthday card with butterflies and rainbow background Hi Craft Addicts! I was really pleased with the way the Butterflies panel die from Sweet Dixie worked with a background I created using Tim Holtz Distress Crayons (definitely one of my favourite sets to use!)... if you want to see how I made it read on! How I made this card:- I created the background by adding various splodges (a technical term I know) of Tim Holtz Distress Crayons one at a time (rainbow colours) blending them as I went as the crayons dry quickly onto some white Hammered card. Once I was fairly happy with it, I then used a paintbrush and water to blend the colours in and left it to dry. Whilst waiting for that, I used the Flutterby By Panel die (from Sweet Dixie) and cut it out in black cardstock (Lynda Chapman's World of Paper. I used some Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue to attach the panel on the rainbow background placing it in the middle of it. I then stuck the who...

Let's Go on an adventure - wizard and dragon on hand painted background card Hi Craft addicts! Once again I had a great time making this card - I had been trying out painting a background and as usual wondered what to do with it - then I got this idea! How I made this card:- I used Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolour paints to create the background- blues, yellows, reds, greens and black - once I was fairly happy with the result, I left it the panel (white stamping card but you could use watercolour card. I then stamped out the Wizard and Dragon (along with the sentiment Let's go on an Adventure) on to some white stamping card using Black Gina K Amalagam ink. These stamps are from the Dragon's Cove collection from Rare Earth. I used Spectrum Noir Tri-blenders to colour them in -  I wanted them to be slightly different than normal so used Green shades for the Wizard and then Purples for the Dragon. When I finished them, I used a Craft knife (We R Memory ...
