Two for the weekend - C6 cards Flowers and Flamingos.. Hi Craft addicts! Today, I have written about 2 C6 cards (one normal and one gatefold) that I have made using a Hunkydory Topper, some Altenew inks and some floral stamps. The first one is... Flamingo fun (white C6 card) I first of all used some "leaf" stamps (I am not sure where they are from which is a shame) and coloured the front of a C6 white straight edged card using "Olive", "Parrot" and Bamboo Altenew ink pads to create a background. I left the centre empty as I knew I would be putting a topper there. I then added some "black" leaves (using their "Jet Black" ink pad and then some small "flowers" with their "Ruby Red" ink. Taking one of the smaller "Flamingo" toppers from Hunkydory's "Bigger Book of Birthday toppers", I separated them and stuck the frame to the card and then added the oval topper to it raising it with ...

Dandelion heads stamped and coloured square card

Dandelion heads stamped and coloured square card Hi Craft addicts! So, for today's post, I have made this striking but simple card using Hunkydory's "In my Thoughts" from the For the Love of Stamps collection, some black card and coloured using distress inks. How I made this card:- I first of all took 4 pre-cut deckle edged panels (67mm square) and stamped the largest of the "Dandelion" heads (from the "In My Thoughts" set of stamps from Hunkydory's For the Love of Stamps collection using the "Smokey Grey" Versafine ink pad in the centre of each of them.  I then coloured 2 panels using Altenew's "Red" shades Crispy Ink pads leaving the centre lighter than the outer edges. I repeated this using DoCrafts Blue inks on the remaining 2 panels. Once they were all dry, I cut out a larger panel in black card (Lynda Chapman's from Creative Crafting World) that was slightly bigger and glued the 4 of them on to ...

Every Adventure requires a first step DL landscape card

Every Adventure requires a first step DL landscape card Hi Craft addicts! Haven't posted for a few days but am making up for it today with this card that I made yesterday. Really like this new style of DL card that have been brought out by Creative Crafting World recently in their Paper Boutique range. How I made this card:- I first of all cut a panel of white super smooth card and stamped out the "Every Adventure requires a first step" sentiment which is part of the new Rare Earth collection. I used Tuxedo Black Memento ink to do this. I then coloured the panel with the "orange" colours in the "Warm and Cozy" ink collection from Altenew leaving the centre of it white. I also edged it in black using an alcohol marker. I attached the panel to a slightly larger one in "Yellow" Adorable Scorable (from Hunkydory).  The flowers, birds and branch were stamped and coloured using stamps from the "A Hint of a Hoot A6 stamp set fro...

All that Jazz - wall hanging with blackboard card to write on.. Hi Craft addicts! Today's make is a small wall hanging with the theme of "All that jazz" as I have used the stamps in that set from "For The Love of Stamps" from Hunkydory along with some blackboard card so that it can be written on.... How I made this wall hanging:- I took some "Red and white" dotty paper (from Kanban) and stuck it to both sides of a MDF wall hanging/plaque which measures 16x8.5cm approx using CS glue having precut them beforehand. I then used some "Red, Pink and Blue" inks (from Altenew and DoCrafts) and added the "splats" using the "All that Jazz"mask from the latest collection from "For the Love of Stamps" mask and stamps set from Hunkydory.  I then edged both front and back of the plaque with the "Red" inks  - I used a Ranger mini blending tool (these are great as you get several spare foam pads which yo...

Party Animal Flamingo - Hand coloured 6in flower card  Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is one that has pleased me a lot making it - I have used a hand stamped topper along with some brightly coloured paper and 6in flower shaped card. How I made this card:- I first of all took one of the "Leaves" from the "Flamingo Party" For the Love of Stamps collection and stamped it on each of the petals using "Onyx black" Memento ink pad - making sure that they were all facing the right way. I then cut out the two panels (one in "Red & White dots" and the other in "Yellow" cardstock using a "Tattered Lace Torn Edged circle" and the other in a "straight edged circle). Using the "Hearts" DoCrafts (Xcut) embossing folder, I embossed the yellow circle to give it some dimension. I then stamped the surface using one of the flower stamps and then coloured them in using "Red" and "Orange" al...

Bees and hearts - no message on this 7in white card

Image
Bees and hearts - no message on this 7in white card  Good afternoon Craft Addicts! I really love making this card as it is so bright and cheerful and simple to make! Could be used for Valentine's Day by adding a "Bee Mine" sentiment or just to say hello! How I made this card:- I first of all took a piece of "Bright Yellow" card which measured 145x140mm and cut out a panel using the Tattered Lace "Torn Edges Rectangles" towards the left hand side of it as I wanted to add the outlines of the "Bees" to it too. I then cut out the "Beehive" die (a Tattered Lace one) in the panel making sure that it fitted of course!  I placed both panels on to some black card and glued them using CS PVA glue. I then stuck the larger one to the top left hand side of a 7" white straight edged card and then added the one with the beehive to it leaving a gap at the top so that a message or sentiment could be added to it. I used some ...

Every day is an adventure - Seascape hand stamped 7x5in card Hi Craft Addicts! Today's card is a hand stamped and coloured seascape made using some Tattered Lace dies and Hunkydory "For the Love of Stamps" stamps, along with some dye based inks.. Read how I made it here.... I had coloured the topper (which was cut out using a Tattered Lace die using a white Linen cardstock which gives it a more subtle effect) ages ago using "Pinks, Greens and Blues" Distress and dye based inks, and was wondering how I could use it and after getting the " Ahoy Matey" stamps from Hunkydory, I  thought I could use some of the stamps to make it into a proper scene.  I first of all, added the "Lighthouse" to the foreground using "Onyx Black" Memento ink and then added the small "Ship" a few times to the background (using the stamp a couple of times to give an effect of distance).  I also added the "Waves" to it a...
