With Love Steampunk heart meets traditional hearts square card

Image
With Love Steampunk heart meets traditional hearts square card Hi Craft Addicts! Today's card is a mix of "Steampunk" and traditional and can be used for either Valentines Day or really any time you want to say you love someone.... How I made this card:- I first of all took a plain 7" white card (from Hunkydory) and cut about 4cm off the right hand side. I then coloured the front of the card using the "Love is in the Air" mask (from the Love of Stamps range by Hunkydory) with a "Red" Generation INX ink pad (I used the XOXO, hearts and balloon heart). Using the Tattered Lace "Love is in the Air Lattice" panel, I cut out the strip for the inside of the card in black card - I had made sure that it fitted before cutting the front part. I also used some Tonic Studios "Hearts" in a couple of sizes/styles to cut out the larger of the hearts in pale Kraft (and embossed it using an A6 embossing folder from DoCrafts Xcut ...

Just for you - Cat and butterflies 7" x 5" white card Hi Craft Addicts! Today's card is a really simple one to make but is really effective using just a topper sheet from Hunkydory, some Mirri card and some die cuts.... How i made this card:- I first of all took one of the "Cat in silhouette" topper sheet from the "Twilight Kingdoms" Little Book from Hunkydory and attached it to an A6 "Rainbow" Mirri panel (already pre-cut by them). I then glued it to the top part of a 7" x 5" white card (also from Hunkydory). I felt it needed something else so cut out the "Butterflies" in "Dark blue" 50 Shades Darker Mirri card (from Hunkydory) using the "Cascading Butterflies" new die from Tattered Lace and glued the 'waste' butterflies to the various parts of the card. Finally, I used a sentiment "Just for you" which I had already had and attached it to the card using foam pads. And...

Two hearts in black 6in linen effect card - LOVE (Valentine's Day card)

Image
Two hearts in black 6in linen effect card -  LOVE (Valentine's Day card) Hi Craft addicts! Another card suitable for Valentine's Day or just to say you love someone - this time using Tonic Studios Dies and one cut out using my Brother ScanNCut! How I made this card:-  I used a 6" white linen effect card and using my Tattered Lace mini scoring board, scored the top and bottom of the card several times (both from the inside and out of it). I also added one single embossed line to the left and right of the front of it. I then cut out the main "Heart" in black card using a Tonic Studios die and another more stylised heart using a shape that is in Brother ScanNCut's CANVAS. I also cut out the "LOVE" sentiment (again I think it is a Tonic Die but could be mistaken) this time in an "Orangey-red" Mirri card from Hunkydory. I stuck the first heart to the left hand side of the card at an angle using CS glue and then placed the 2nd ...

My heart is yours forever... 6in square Valentine's Day card

Image
My heart is yours forever... 6in square Valentine's Day card Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is another one that is suitable to be given for Valentine's Day or just to say you love someone - any time of the year of course! How I made this card:- I have designed the topper in Craft Artist Professional 2 - using a variety of digikits - the main element was part of a kit from Printable Heaven. Once I was happy with the design, I saved it as a JPG and printed it out in Microsoft Publisher. I then cut it out and edged it with a "Red" alcohol marker. I used the "Torn Edged Rectangle" die to make the panel that I used to layer the topper on top of (out of "Rainbow" Mirri card) - before I stuck it down, I attached some "Red" Organza ribbon to the middle of it (sticking it down on the back so it didn't show). I then glued the whole panel on to the centre of a 6" white straight edged card using Collall All Purpose glue. ...

Cupid Valentine's Day card - 6" square white card Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a 6" scalloped edged card which has been hand stamped with hearts and includes a Cupid die cut in silhouette. How I made this card:- I first of all cut out 3 circles (2 medium and 1 large ones) using the Tattered Lace "Torn Edged Circles" along the right hand side of a 6" white scalloped edged card. I then stuck a "Red and white" tiny dot sheet (slightly smaller than the card itself) behind the apertures using Collall All Purpose glue Using the "heart" stamp from the "Bees Knees" Stamp set from the For the Love of Stamps set (from Hunkydory), I stamped the image all over randomly using "Lady Bug" Memento ink and repeated it inside the apertures with "Onyx Black" Versafine ink. I then took some "red" Organza ribbon and attached it to the left hand side of the card (wrapping it around it) using Red...

Heart C6 gatefold Cream card - Valentine's Day Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a smple but effective "Heart" themed card using Tattered Lace dies and Hunkydory cardstock. How I made this card:- I took a C6 gatefold cream hammered card (which I got from Craft Creations) and added 2 rows of "Black and gold" scalloped wavy edged border to the top and bottom of the card (I placed it along the whole card and then cut it down the middle so that it was in the right place. I then cut out the large "oval" shape (from Tattered Lace Torn Edged series of dies) in blue card. I also cut out the "Silver" heart (which has a straight edge) using a Tonic Studios die from Mirri card. I used some of the "Quilted Quarters" paper from Tonic Studios and cut out the "Scalloped edged heart" (slightly smaller than the silver one. I then glued them together and placed the whole topper on to the left hand side of the card (maki...

Just for you C6 cream Flower and hearts card

Image
Just for you C6 cream Flower and hearts card Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a quick and easy card using some die cuts and peel offs to make a fun card you would be pleased to give anyone. How I made this card:- I used a scoring board to score vertical lines every 1/2" on the right hand side of the card and then cut it leaving only the last 3 on the front (it also means you can see the inside of the card). I then cut a panel of "Red and white" dotty paper which measures 6x12.5cm approximately) and then cut out a square scalloped edged aperture using a die. Once I was happy with the shape, I then glued it to the front of the card (allowing for the scored part of the card). I also cut out the "Flower" Tattered Lace die in black cardstock and glued it in the middle of the space left by the aperture. I also added some twine to underneath the flower to look like a stem. I added two rows of "black and gold" peel off stickers to the ed...

Heart and Butterfly 148mm white card -  Valentine's Day or Just Because.. Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is one that could be used for Valentine's Day or just because! I have used some Tonic Studios dies, some of their background papers and a Sheena Douglass die. How I made this card:- I used one sheet of background paper from the "Quilted Quarters" 6 inch paper pad from Tonic Studios and trimmed it to fit a 148mm white scalloped edged card. I previously had used a "Heart" die to cut out the middle as I wanted to use it for another idea. I then glued it to the card. I then cut out the Tonic Studios "Affection" heart out in red card and placed it in the middle of the card. I also cut out the "All of a Flutter" butterfly die (Sheena Douglass Perfect Partners" in "Silver" Mirri card and coloured it using "Green, Blue, Orange, Red" Alcohol markers and left it to dry overnight. I then pla...
